WELCOME TO OUR
STRATEGY LAB
WELCOME TO OUR
NON-PROFIT STRATEGY LAB
You're making an impact, but
you know there's more to do.
Stability. Access. Coverage. Scope. Quality. Empowerment. Opportunity. Outcomes. Solving the "bigger problems" behind the needs.
Being more can seem impossible.
"The problem's too large... The "day-to-day" is already too much... We don't have the funds you need... We can't afford the staff..."
It's time to go past assumptions.
No more saying "we can't."
As non-profit professionals, we have to. There's too much at stake. The good news? Usually, we can do more than we imagine.
What could happen if we...?
How do we make that happen?

Introducing the Laboratory!
Our Strategy Lab is a focused, creative space to explore your "big ideas"... the innovations left behind in a traditional strategic planning effort because you don't think they're possible.
How does it work? Well... since it's a laboratory, let's cast it in (somewhat) scientific terms:
- Concept—What we're investigating
- Hypothesis—Anticipated outcomes
- Experiment—Scenario examination
- Results—Probability, feasibility, risk
The Lab's rapid, collaborative, affordable format gives non-profits a chance to evaluate out-of-the box initiatives against real-world conditions to see if they'll deliver, and if they're realistic.

STRATEGY LAB FAQs
What do we have to bring when we enter the Strategy Lab?
You just need a vision for the future of the population(s) you serve, and an idea to serve them better than you currently do. Help more people, increase benefits, expand scope—whatever you want to accomplish, and have something "big" you think could help achieve it. Other than that, just come prepared to talk... we'll want to know about your organization, your cause, and the "end state" you'd like for your clients, as well as your concept!
What exactly do we do when we're in the Lab?
First, we establish measures and targets for the results you think your idea can get. Then, we work together to test it. We look at how implementation would unfold, articulate our aassumptions, define the requirements, and estimate the outcomes under different scenarios. Finally, we evaluate. Can it meet the objectives? Are the assumptions valid? Can we meet the requirements? What's the likelihood it will succeed, and what if it doesn't?
What do we get at the end of the Lab experiment?
When the analysis is completed, we provide a brief report summarizing what we investigated, the conditions we tested under, what the experiment told us, and an analysis of the results. If your idea seems feasible and you want to see how to move forward, we'll also work with you to outline a plan of attack—what your non-profit needs to do to put the idea into action. In more cases than not, you'll walk away with an actionable program to implement.
How long does an experiment take, and what does it cost?
Developing a full-scale, responsive strategy can take months at a significant price. It's entirely appropriate at some points, but it isn't always necessary. With the Lab, you can evaluate an innovative idea in as little as two weeks, depending on your non-profit's size and scope, and just how complex your concept is. Using the Lab typically costs $2,500—$5,000, though it may be less or, occasionally, more. You'll know before we start, and the price won't change.
How do I learn more about working in the Lab?
There are three ways to find out more details. You can use this link to schedule with us directly. Or, you can e-mail us or use our contact form to let us know you're interested, and we'll get back to you within one business day to find a good time for us to talk. If you use one of the latter two methods, please look for an e-mail from "Snowflake Consulting." Remember, there's no obligation to use the Lab after our call—this is solely for informational purposes.
