Independent Contractor Pool
We're accepting applications to join our pool of 1099 resources. While we may not have specific opportunities at this moment, joining the pool puts you in an elite group of professionals who are the "first called" when we have a project or other need. The process for vetting and accepting independent contractors is rigorous, starting with a "notification of interest" (below), followed by one or more interviews. Those who make it past the interview stage are asked for at least three professional references, which we check before extending an offer. Independent contractors who are in our pool are treated as part of the Snowflake team, with the opportunity to participate in company-wide meetings and network with other 1099s, and they are often integrated into new initiatives.

Minimum qualifications for selection into our 1099 pool include, but may not be limited to:
  • A passion for making an impact on individuals and communities
  • At least ten years of experience solving problems for clients in our key service areas
  • Senior-level SME and/or management experience at a "Big 4" or other top firm
  • Experience on cross-disciplinary projects, working across industries and, preferably, sectors
  • References that can demonstrate ability to deliver required results on time, within budget
  • Project management experience and/or credentials (e.g., PMP) is valued, but not required
Independents' Network
Consider joining our network of highly experienced, like-minded independent consultants. We often draw from our pool of professionals for expertise needed on client projects. As a 1099, you know things happen quickly, so we're building a "ready reserve" of trusted resources.

One of our key values is to provide clients with the breadth and depth of knowledge they need to find solutions to their most pressing challenges. In addition, we give our teams independence to get jobs done efficiently and effectively. These principles require practitioners with the capabilities and judgment needed to deliver results while always representing our company in the best light. As such, we employ an extensive vetting process before accepting people into the network. That means you can be confident that, if selected, you'll be working with the best.

We're looking for experienced individuals who have a passion for helping organizations make transformational impacts on lives, communities, and the world. We use two "titles" we use for independents: (1) Senior Fellow, and (2) Fellow. Minimum qualifications for each are below.

Senior Fellow, Specialty (e.g., Strategy)
    
    Required
    Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • At least ten years of experience in strategy, organization, people, marketing, etc., 
  • Senior-level expertise from recognized top-tier consultancies, non-profits, and/or governments
  • Ability to represent us and our values to high-level client leaders, and ensure great client experiences
  • Leadership and project management experience a delivering high quality, efficient, and timely results
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients in different roles (e.g., manager, SME, team member) 
  • Strong communications and facilitation skills, and experience developing consensus in diverse groups

  • Exposure to multiple industries or mission areas in the non-profit, private, and/or public sectors
